Spider

I walk,
Sideways,
Down,
Around,
Up a wall,
Around a smoke detector,
Unnoticed,
I crawl,
Around the door, Spinning a web,
Over the frame,
Something moves,
The creature!
It awakens,
It will break the web I have woven,
Piece by piece,
I have woven,
That beautiful silk,
That shining thread,
I had made my mark,
It shall be ruined,
That is fate,
I weep,
Walking back again,
Walking sideways,
Along the wall,
To my hiding spot,
Until evening,
Then I shall roam again.
